American Association of Malaysia welcomes all to its first WOMEN’S WELLNESS SPRING BAZAAR

9 April 2018, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The American Association of Malaysia (AAM) is excited to announce its first Women’s Wellness Workshop and Spring Bazaar to be held on Friday, the 4th of May at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

“We are thankful for Prince Court Medical Centre, our event sponsor, a “World’s Top Ten Hospital for Medical Tourists,” said Donna Lamb, Vice President of the AAM. “As Americans living in Malaysia, we feel it’s important to play a positive role in the community. Each year, we host fundraising events that directly benefit local charities. Proceeds from this event will go to three organizations that have a unique focus on women’s physical and emotional health namely the Malaysian National Cancer Society, TANMA Federation – a fair-trade cooperative run by Burmese refugee women and the Breast Cancer Welfare Association,” she added.

Since 1965, AAM has served as a support network for American families, employees of American companies, and our friends at international schools in Malaysia. AAM believes that it is important to have fun with others and to also give something back to the local community. AAM is known for its signature Christmas Bazaar, Pink October Events, and Charity Giving – events which have brought major impact to dozens of local non-profit organizations and the communities they serve.

AAM’s Women’s Wellness Workshop welcomes expatriate groups, working career women, and any person wishing to gain more insight into Women’s Wellness. Well-known clinicians from Prince Court will share their expertise about nutrition, hormones and aging gracefully. The event also includes an interesting holistic wellness talk from an experienced acupuncturist. Women’s Wellness Workshop early bird entry is by minimum donation of RM120 per person (RM150 after April 15th) inclusive of a buffet lunch, goodie bag, as well as entry to the Spring Bazaar.  All are welcome to join this one-day special event to learn about healthy life choices and graceful aging.

The Women Wellness Workshop includes a Spring Bazaar with 40 vendors who will offer products and services in health, beauty & well-being plus local vendors selling jewelry, clothing and handicrafts. Tickets for the Spring Bazaar only is by a minimum donation of RM30 per person. You can also purchase tickets for the Bazaar on the day, at the event.
