Sunsuria Forum’s GoPlay Toy & Games Fair entices school holiday fun

Setia Alam, 8 August 2019 – The school holidays just got a whole lot more fun with the announcement of Sunsuria Forum’s GoPlay Toys and Games Fair 2019, held over five days starting at 11:00am to 7:00pm from 14 to 18 August 2019 at Sunsuria Forum @ 7th Avenue in Setia Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

Sunsuria Forum @ 7^th Avenue in Setia Alam is home to a demographic comprising of young families with children. It is because of this, that the property developer is enthused to play its role in developing young minds and giving children the opportunity to experience creative technology and expand their imagination. Through the development of young minds, Sunsuria Forum believes it will be able to help children nurture their talents in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects, and in this way respond to the Governments call for more students to excel in this area. Being a leader in STEM subject starts with an active imagination, creativity and an exposure to engineering and technical sciences.

The week’s activities begin with performance poetry, group work, speech articulation and vocal expression facilitated by MoOne Drama Academy. Parents and their children are invited to sign up, practise their spoken word in English, play games, learn spoken word, chorus work, articulation in speech and vocal expression. Workshops on 14 & 15 August will be facilitated by Illya Sumanto – a performance arts educator with over 10 years of experience stagecrafting with the youth internationally. She is the founder of School of Poetry Berlin and Loman Art’s Youth Club in Dakar, Senegal. In 2016, she was presented an award from the education faculty of University Malaya for her work integrating poetry slams into the Malaysian field of education.

Sunsuria Forum is sponsoring RM1,000 worth of prizes to be awarded to competition participants. Headlining the activities calendar is the Beyblade Fever Competition coordinated by the Wyvern Beyblade Club during the weekend on 17 and 18 August. Participants from as young as five years old have been seen showing their skills in handling these competitive spinning tops. GoPlay Sony Playstation PS4 Zone provides a free playing zone with hit titles like Just Dance, Fortnite and FIFA. Play and you could win some V-bucks in PS4 vouchers!

Then, there’s the Tiny Whoop Micro GTA Drones Demo Race on 18 August as pilots showcase a racing platform for micro drones. The event will introduce, cultivate, influence and promote micro drones and its applications to the larger community. Micro drones are also a good way to introduce children to drone technology and learn drone flying skills.

Finally, Malaysia’s Yo-yo Association and KedaiYoyo will organise a Yo-yo Contest to bring enthusiasts together on 18 August. Endless fun await the Setia Alam community at the GoPlay Toys & Games Fair!

The GoPlay Toys and Games Fair will be held from the 14 to 18^th of August 2019 at Sunsuria Forum @ 7^thAvenue in Setia Alam and runs daily from 11 am to 7pm.
