21 October 2024, Kuala Lumpur – The Women in Management (WIM) Malaysia Chapter is set to host a landmark event from 5 – 7 November 2024 at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event will combine the highly anticipated Global Leadership Conference and the 14th edition of the Top50 Professional & Career Women Awards, under the theme “Transformative Leadership for Disruptive Times”.
The Global Leadership Conference 2024
This year’s Global Leadership Conference brings together 64 influential speakers from 28 countries, with discussions focusing on 12 critical topics, including leadership, team building, decision-making, diversity, good governance, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and social impact. The conference is designed to tackle the pressing challenges of today’s fast-evolving world.
Douglas Dean, the Lead of the Global Leadership Conference, emphasised that the event is particularly timely, considering the rapid advancements in technology and the global climate crisis. He stated, “I designed this conference with a recognition of the rapid changes our world is facing. It’s time for leaders to look at leadership from a different angle—transformative leadership is the key to navigating the future’s disruptions,”.
Seven keynote speakers representing Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Australia, the United Kingdom, the USA, India, and Africa will take centre stage, sharing insights that are expected to leave a lasting impact on corporate and community leadership worldwide.

Professor Dr Selvaraj Oyyan, Executive Director of WIM Malaysia Chapter and the host of this year’s Global Leadership Conference & Awards, expressed his excitement about the event. “We are organising this with great enthusiasm to showcase Malaysia’s best practices on a global stage. Founded in 2009 in Sri Lanka, Women in Management has grown into a global movement, operating in seven countries: Sri Lanka, Maldives, Canada, the United Kingdom, UAE, the USA, and Malaysia. The organisation’s core mission is to create a platform for women of all walks of life to network, empower, and uplift one another. Over the past 13 years, the Top50 Global Awards have recognised more than 1,100 outstanding individuals from 29 countries.
The 14th Top50 Professional & Career Women Awards 2024
The Top50 Global Awards are more than just a celebration of individual success; they are about recognising role models who inspire positive change. Dr. Sulochana Segera, the Founder and Chairperson of Women in Management and the Brand Owner of the Top50 Awards, expressed her pride in this year’s event. “I am extremely delighted to have WIM Malaysia host the 14th Top50 Global Awards.
